Experience Burgundy with Margrit Mondavi and Director of Winemaking Geneviève Janssens
“No doubt. And no fear. That’s what it takes to be a leader. That’s what it takes to be a pioneer.”
This is the vision that Robert Mondavi lived by. What drove him to craft Napa Valley wines that stand in the company of the world’s finest. Wines that have drawn connoisseurs to Robert Mondavi Winery for nearly 50 years. And that continue to inspire generations of growers and winemakers in California and around the world to always strive higher.
Along his journey to the pinnacle of winemaking, Robert Mondavi had many inspirations. One was the critical importance of terroir -- and perfectly capturing the best qualities of it. Robert Mondavi selected To Kalon Vineyard as the location for his namesake winery for the promise its pristine terroir held. And since 1966, that land has allowed our winemakers to craft some of the world’s finest Cabernet Sauvignon.
As the winner of this lot, you and three guests will tour Burgundy and be inspired, as Robert Mondavi was, by its ancient winemaking tradition, its deep devotion to terroir, its culture, and its beauty.
